Exceptional Architecture: Having a plan to build the representative hotel of Brasov means finding a suitable architect. That’s why, after organizing a competition, architects Schuller and Goldsmidt were selected. With a revolutionary design inspired by Munchen, Coroana was built in the Baroque and Art Noveau styles, the architecture preserved to this day, both indoors and outdoors.
Architect’s inspiration and talent: Coroana was a first class hotel with an interior courtyard, a restaurant, a famous Viennese caf and a club frequented by journalists and literati.
Personalities who have passed the threshold of Coroana: Meeting place for the personalities of the time – the first literary gathering took place in Brasov, in Coroana, in 1923. Hosting place for artists: Over the years, Coroana hosted cultural personalities, musicians, actors and artists (Golden Stag, Conducting Contests, Chamber Music Festival, Medieval Festival, Opera Festival, Vaudeville and Ballet, and the Contemporary Drama Festival).
